North & South Malé April – October Small waves start from mid-February or March; by April the wind improves and mid-sized swells light up the best breaks. It is also when Huvadhoo starts to clean up again, with head-high days returning, so Ayada is a strong pick for a quieter line-up late in the year. Should I choose a surf resort or a surf charter? A resort gives you a comfortable room, a capped or guided home break and something for non-surfers to do.
