Niyama offers three meal tiers. The all-inclusive covers Epicure and Blu plus credits at specialty restaurants, house spirits, and minibar. Subsix is always a supplement regardless of plan.

Your Days on the Island

With two islands and some of the most extensive facilities in the Maldives, Niyama packs in more than most luxury resorts. Year-round surfing at private reef breaks, a PADI 5-Star dive centre in uncrowded Dhaalu Atoll, the world's first underwater nightclub, and a 24-hour games room barely scratch the surface.

Family-Friendly Features

Niyama is built for families. Play island concentrates the action — the Explorers Kids Club accepts children from 12 months with a splash park, climbing wall, trampolines, and cooking classes. Under-12s stay and eat free. Family villas up to 770 sqm come with private pools, and the junior surf school, coral planting programme, and 24-hour games room keep older kids engaged without a dedicated teen programme.

House Reef & Underwater

Niyama's house reef is not its headline act — the wide lagoon means coral is further out and direct snorkeling from villas is limited. However, the resort runs complimentary daily boat trips to vibrant outer reefs just minutes away, and Dhaalu Atoll's uncrowded dive sites are excellent. The resort's coral regeneration programme has transplanted over 1,000 corals since 2007.

Transfer from Malé

Niyama is in Dhaalu Atoll, 175 km southwest of Male. Two transfer options — seaplane is faster, domestic flight is cheaper and works for late arrivals.

The twin-island concept genuinely works — Play delivers energy, surf, and family fun while Chill offers the overwater tranquillity most people picture when they think Maldives. Subsix alone is worth the trip, and ten restaurants mean you never eat the same cuisine twice. The house reef is the one weak spot, but free boat snorkeling and world-class Dhaalu diving compensate.
