Dining Inclusions

W Maldives does not offer a formal all-inclusive. Half Board and Full Board cover Kitchen only — specialty restaurants carry a supplement.

Meal plan prices are a guide only — generally an average across the year. Resorts can change them at any time, they often vary by season, and a plan sold in one season may not be offered in another. We'll confirm what's available and the exact price for your dates.

Your Days on the Island

W Maldives leans into its North Ari Atoll location with exceptional marine experiences and a high-energy activity programme. The house reef alone could justify a visit, but add the private island, underground nightclub, and padel court and there's rarely a dull moment.

Family-Friendly Features

W Maldives is primarily a couples resort but accommodates families in its two-bedroom villas. There is no dedicated kids club, and overwater villas require children to be 5 years or older. The Oasis Beach Two-Bedroom Villa features a water slide into the private pool, and the award-winning house reef offers safe, accessible snorkeling for older children.

House Reef & Underwater

The house reef at W Maldives is consistently ranked among the best in the country. The 2 km coral belt encircles the entire island and is accessible from virtually any point on the beach or directly from overwater villa steps. North Ari Atoll's position as a major marine corridor brings an exceptional diversity of pelagic visitors.

PADI dive center on-site. Night snorkeling available. Marine life observations sourced from dive logs and guest reports.

Transfer from Malé

W Maldives is a quick 25-minute seaplane from Malé — one of the most convenient seaplane transfers in the Maldives. A private W Lounge at the seaplane terminal makes the wait comfortable.

Who This Resort is For

Reviewed by Tym Lewtak, founder of LuxAtolls ·Updated Sep 27, 2026

W Maldives nails the balance between world-class marine life and upbeat resort energy. The house reef is genuinely exceptional — one of the best walk-in reefs in the Maldives — and the 2025 renovation has brought the villas up to modern luxury standards. Dining is strong if expensive, and the atmosphere has a buzz that most five-star Maldives resorts lack. Best for couples who want reef, design, and nightlife in one package.
