How your booking is protected
Booking a trip across the world through a specialist is a big decision. Here is exactly how booking and payment work with us, and what protects you at each step.
-
The resort confirms before you pay
We confirm your villa with the resort first, then ask you to pay, never the other way around. Your room is secured before you pay anything.
-
Your booking is in your name
We book directly with the resort, in the names of the people travelling. The resort issues its own confirmation number, which we put on your booking page, and you can check your reservation with the resort at any time.
-
Your price is fixed in US dollars
The price we quote, in US dollars, is the fixed price of your booking, and your deposit secures your room at that rate. Amounts shown in any other currency are indicative only and shift as exchange rates move, so the sooner you book and pay, the less currency risk you carry. Our Terms set out the limited cases where a price can still change before you have paid in full, such as a new government tax.
-
Three secure ways to pay
Pay with Wise or by card through Stripe, both in US dollars, or through TravelPay in Australian dollars. The price we quote is our Wise price, our most competitive; card and TravelPay amounts are priced for those methods when you pay, and your booking page shows the exact amount for each option before you pay and confirms every payment once it clears. Card details are entered on Stripe's or TravelPay's secure payment page, so they never reach our servers. How each method works.
-
Paying by card keeps your card's protections
When you pay by credit card, your card issuer's dispute process (a chargeback) remains available to you under your card's terms.
-
Booked through ATIA-accredited travel partners
When you book with LuxAtolls, your booking is made through ATIA-accredited travel partners, under Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA) accreditation number A16070. ATIA is the travel industry's accreditation body in Australia: accredited businesses follow its charter and code of conduct, and ATIA reviews their finances and insurance. You can read about ATIA accreditation at atia.travel.
-
Clear deposit, balance and cancellation terms
You have 24 hours after we confirm your villa to pay the deposit. The balance is due 45 days before you arrive, or earlier for some Christmas, New Year and Easter stays. Deposits are non-refundable, and the cancellation fees are set out in full in our Terms.
-
Travel insurance still matters
Accreditation is not insurance. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellation, taken out as soon as you book.
-
If something goes wrong
Contact us, not the resort. We made your booking, so we handle it with the resort for you; resorts generally do not deal directly with bookings made through an agent. Email reservations@luxatolls.com and we will work it through. If we cannot resolve a complaint, you can take it to ATIA's free, independent complaints process. And if you ever receive payment instructions that do not match your booking page, do not pay: email us and we will check.
