Q: Is Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi still an Accor resort?

No. The island left the Fairmont and Accor system on 1 May 2024 and now operates independently as Sirru Fen Fushi, Private Lagoon Resort under Leading Hotels of the World — same island, same villas, but ALL points no longer accrue there: the programme's own terms confine earning to hotels operating under an Accor brand. It is absent from Accor's Maldives listing today. We still review it in full: Sirru Fen Fushi. There is no Fairmont-branded resort in the Maldives now.

Q: Which Accor Maldives resorts are all-inclusive?

Pullman Maamutaa sells nothing else — all-inclusive is the only plan, covering three restaurants, three bars, a daily minibar restock and an hour of non-motorised water sports; spa and excursions are extra. Mercure Kooddoo runs an ultra all-inclusive that was the first of its kind at a Mercure island resort worldwide when it launched in November 2021, and on stays of seven nights or more it folds in a sunset cruise and a guided house-reef snorkelling trip. SO/ Maldives and Kuredhivaru both sell all-inclusive as an upgrade above bed-and-breakfast — Kuredhivaru has a Luxury All-Inclusive tier on top of the standard one. V Villas at Mirihi has no all-inclusive tier at all; it stops at Full Board Plus.

Partly. Late checkout and a welcome drink begin at Silver; a one-category room upgrade, availability permitting at check-in, begins at Gold — though Accor's terms exclude villas from the upgrade, so at these all-villa resorts it is discretionary. Complimentary breakfast begins at Platinum in Accor's Asia-Pacific region, which includes the Maldives, and applies every day of the stay when booked via ALL.com, the app or the hotel direct (outside the region it is Diamond-only and weekends-only) — on a Maldives island where a meal plan usually carries breakfast anyway, it mainly pays on a room-only booking. Note also that Accor+, the paid subscription, is a separate product: its free-night benefit excludes both Pullman Maamutaa and Mercure Kooddoo.

ALL — Accor Live Limitless at the Maldives Resorts

ALL — Accor Live Limitless is Accor's loyalty programme, and all five Maldives resorts are full ALL properties — none of them appears on Accor's own list of hotels and brands excluded from the programme. Members earn Reward points per €10 of qualifying spend — about US$12 — at 25 points for Classic, rising to 50 at Diamond, and the rate is flat across Accor's Luxury, Premium and Midscale brands. Only the economy and long-stay brands earn less, so a night at V Villas and a night at a city Novotel earn at the same rate per dollar spent; the Maldives advantage comes from the size of the bill, not a better multiplier. Status points accrue at a flat 25 per €10 at every tier. (Accor sets the programme in euros; the dollar figures here are approximate.)

There is no award chart — and that is the whole story. ALL is a fixed-value rebate rather than an award programme: 2,000 Reward points convert to €40 — about US$46 — so a point is worth roughly 2.3 US cents whether you spend it on an overwater villa or a roadside ibis. Points come off the cash rate as a discount; there is no free-night award, no category, no seasonal sweet spot to time. The practical consequence for a Maldives trip is blunt — a US$9,000 week would need around 390,000 points to wipe out. Bank ALL points as cashback on the spend, not as a route to a free week.

Where the status actually pays. Late checkout and a welcome drink start at Silver; a one-category room upgrade, subject to availability at check-in, starts at Gold — but Accor's own terms exclude villas from that upgrade, so on all-villa islands like these five it is a courtesy at the resort's discretion rather than an entitlement. Complimentary breakfast starts at Platinum in Accor's Asia-Pacific region, which includes the Maldives, and applies every day of the stay there (elsewhere it is Diamond-only and weekends-only), on stays booked through ALL.com, the app or the hotel direct — though breakfast is usually inside the rate on a Maldives island anyway. Above Diamond sits an invitation-only tier, Limitless. On these five, status is worth carrying but not worth chasing.

The Accor+ footnote. Accor+ is a separate paid subscription, not part of ALL, and its Stay Plus free-night benefit excludes both Pullman Maamutaa and Mercure Kooddoo. Worth checking before anyone buys the membership on the strength of a Maldives trip.

Three more islands earn ALL without being Accor brands. Angsana Velavaru in Dhaalu, Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru and Dhawa Ihuru in North Malé are Banyan Group resorts — bookable on Accor's own site and earning ALL points under a long-standing Accor–Banyan partnership. They fly Banyan Group flags rather than Accor ones, which is why they are not in the roster above; if you are counting ALL nights, they still count. Banyan Tree properties are excluded from Accor+.

Which Accor Maldives Resort Is Best For You?

There's no single "best" Accor resort in the Maldives — a 4-star adults-only island in the deep south and a 42-villa MGallery on the whale-shark belt are not competing for the same traveller. Here's the angle-by-angle call:

Best for value / cheapest Mercure Maldives Kooddoo Resort Beach villas from $300 and genuine overwater villas from $460 — the only sub-$500 overwater in the Accor portfolio, on the group's one 4-star island. The catch is the transfer: a domestic flight to Kooddoo runs about $700 per person return, so the saving compounds on a longer stay rather than a three-nighter.

Best for a short trip SO/ Maldives Fifteen minutes by speedboat from Velana, running around the clock — no seaplane, no daylight curfew, no overnight in Malé on a late arrival. It's the only Accor Maldives island where a three-night stay isn't half-eaten by transfers.

Best all-inclusive Pullman Maldives Maamutaa Resort Pullman Maamutaa sells nothing but all-inclusive — three restaurants and three bars, premium spirits, a daily minibar restock and non-motorised water sports all sit inside the rate. Best for adults only Mercure Maldives Kooddoo Resort The only adults-only island in the group's Maldives roster — 68 villas, no children anywhere on it, and an equatorial house reef with next to no other divers on it. V Villas at Mirihi is the quiet-not-child-free alternative, with an over-water minimum age of 8.

Best for snorkelling & diving V Villas Maldives at Mirihi A six-kilometre house reef that drops straight onto the South Ari whale-shark belt — the strongest in-water programme of the five. Pullman Maamutaa is the serious runner-up, with 26 dive sites, 13 recorded shark species and a house reef that came through the bleaching years intact.
