Bagatelle closed when the property left the Fairmont system in May 2024.

Dining Inclusions

Four plans through to a generous All-Inclusive that covers house-pour wines, beers, spirits, cocktails and mocktails by the glass at all venues from 11 AM to 11 PM. The AI plan also accepts a per-meal food credit at the signature restaurants ($30 dinner, $20 lunch).

Your Days on the Island

The Coralarium snorkel-able coral garden (originally Jason deCaires Taylor sculptures, now home to 120+ fish species), the on-site Sustainability Lab plastic recycling facility, and the 200-metre infinity pool are the headline experiences — paired with a 9 km house reef and a manta cleaning station you don't need a boat to reach.

Family-Friendly Features

The Kids Club (ages 4–12, 9 AM–7 PM, complimentary) has a spiral slide that's the universal kid headline. A separate Teen Club operates out of shipping containers with pool tables and games. The Kids Fly, Stay & Dine Free promo runs through January 2027 — up to two children under 12 receive free seaplane transfers, free accommodation and free meals matching the adult plan on 5+ night stays. Marine-biologist-led Coralarium tours are suitable for ages 6+, and the on-site manta cleaning station (Dec–Apr) is rare in the Maldives.

House Reef & Underwater

The marketing line says 9 km — the dive operator says 7 km — either way it's among the longest in the Maldives. Direct snorkel access along 1.5 km of beach. 250+ coral species, manta cleaning station on-site (rare — most resorts boat to Manta Point), seasonal whale sharks. Shaviyani sees almost no other dive traffic, so the reef is in better shape than central atolls.

Transfer from Malé

Shaviyani is in the northern Maldives — a 55-minute seaplane from Velana via Trans Maldivian Airways. For late arrivals after the seaplane curfew, the route runs through Hanimaadhoo Airport on a domestic flight plus a 50-minute speedboat.

Who This Resort is For

Sirru Fen Fushi (ex-Fairmont Maldives) is the rare Maldives property whose superlatives are all measurable — longest infinity pool (200 m), longest house reef (9 km), largest lagoon (600 hectares), only Safari Tent Villas in the country. The Coralarium and Sustainability Lab feel substantive rather than greenwashed. The brand transition has been smooth — service quality under GM Gerhard Stutz is consistently called out as 'next level' in 2025-2026 reviews. The trade-off is the loss of Accor loyalty value and a slightly thinner dining lineup post-Bagatelle.
