Your Days on the Island

Hanifaru Bay is just 15 minutes by boat — arguably the world's best manta and whale shark encounter. On-island, the 3 km jungle track, two tennis courts, and award-winning Javvu Spa keep downtime interesting.

Family-Friendly Features

Sultan's Village kids club entertains ages 4–12 on this natural 23.5-hectare island in the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The Blue Hole — a natural reef formation on the house reef — makes for memorable family snorkeling, and four-bedroom residences accommodate larger groups. Amilla also holds Inclucare accessibility certification for families with additional needs.

House Reef & Underwater

Amilla's house reef is consistently rated among the best in the Maldives, with over 250 fish species and the unique Blue Hole formation accessible by short boat ride. Nine identified green turtles visit regularly to feed, and three nest directly on the island. Add Hanifaru Bay 15 minutes away, and the marine offering is exceptional.

Transfer from Malé

Who This Resort is For

Amilla does something almost no Maldives resort manages: it works equally well for couples, families, and large groups. The treetop villas are unique, the house reef is outstanding, Hanifaru Bay is on the doorstep, and the dine-anywhere meal plan removes the usual restrictions. It's not the cheapest or the flashiest — but it might be the most versatile.
