Soneva Jani's meal structure is unique — Chapter Two villa rates include Soneva Unlimited (full all-inclusive with dining, spa, and experiences). Chapter One guests can add meal plans as supplements. The Unlimited plan is extraordinarily comprehensive.

Your Days on the Island

Soneva Jani packs more signature experiences per square metre than any resort in the Maldives. The overwater Cinema Paradiso, the first Maldivian observatory, a 1,500 sqm kids club with its own zipline and pirate ship — plus a full dive centre, organic gardens, and a Michelin-level dining programme.

Family-Friendly Features

Soneva Jani is arguably the best family resort in the Maldives. The Den kids club is a 1,500 sqm two-storey marvel with a 32m zipline, pirate ship, bowling alley, 155 sqm pool with waterfalls, and bioluminescent flooring — all technology-free. Teens get The Hangout with DJ booth, music room, and games. Most villas have waterslides, and children under 15 dine free on stays of four nights or more. The shallow lagoon is safe for young children.

House Reef & Underwater

Soneva Jani sits in a vast shallow lagoon — stunning to look at but not a snorkeling destination from shore. The house reef is a five-minute boat ride away and offers healthy coral with turtles and reef fish. For world-class reef access, sister resort Soneva Fushi is the better pick.

Transfer from Malé

Soneva Jani is in Noonu Atoll — reachable by seaplane or a domestic flight to Maafaru Airport followed by a short speedboat. The seaplane is scenic and fast; the domestic flight works for late arrivals.

Who This Resort is For

Soneva Jani redefines what a Maldives resort can be. The villas are genuinely enormous, the dining programme rivals a small city, and the experiences — Cinema Paradiso, the observatory, The Den kids club — are things you simply cannot find elsewhere. The trade-off is the reef (boat access only) and the price (this is eye-wateringly expensive). But if your priority is imagination, space, and a resort that constantly surprises, Soneva Jani stands alone at the top.
