Your Days on the Island

A resort built around the ocean — the dive centre was the first PADI Eco Centre in the Maldives, and the Coral Lines restoration project pioneered reef rehabilitation. Meera Spa's six overwater treatment rooms have glass floors for watching marine life during your massage.

Family-Friendly Features

Gili Lankanfushi welcomes children of all ages. There is no formal kids club, but daily scheduled activities include treasure hunts, sandcastle contests, and garden visits. The Private Reserve — the most exclusive overwater residence — features a water slide into the lagoon, private cinema, and its own spa.

House Reef & Underwater

Gili Lankanfushi sits in one of the largest lagoons in the Maldives — pristine for swimming but the reef edge requires a 10-15 minute swim from shore. Guided boat trips reach the house reef in minutes, and world-class sites like HP Reef and Banana Reef are just 10 minutes away. The Coral Lines project has rehabilitated extensive reef sections.

Transfer from Malé

Gili Lankanfushi is the resort that defined barefoot Maldivian luxury — and after a 2020 renovation, it's sharper than ever. The 20-minute speedboat from Malé means no seaplane logistics, every villa is overwater with a personal butler, and the eco credentials are genuine (EarthCheck Gold, not just greenwashing). It's expensive, but the intimacy of 45 villas and the Robinson Crusoe romance is hard to match.
