Meedhupparu offers four main villa categories across beach and overwater settings. The 195 beach villas were extensively refurbished in 2019 with upgraded interiors, and range from standard Beach Villas to Jacuzzi suites and Honeymoon Suites with private pools. The 20 Prestige Water Villas occupy a private jetty with their own exclusive restaurant and pool — positioned as an adults-only premium enclave within the resort. All villas include air conditioning, Wi-Fi, minibar (daily restock on AI), satellite TV, and tea/coffee facilities.

Meedhupparu's Premium All-Inclusive unlocks dine-around access to all four restaurants — the main Jaafaiy buffet for daily meals, plus three speciality outlets for Indian, Mediterranean, and casual street food. Two of the four (Sufura and Thavaa) are reservation-based. Four bars keep premium drinks flowing around the clock, including a swim-up pool bar and a cocktail bar boasting 101 different cocktails.

Your Days on the Island

Meedhupparu's 42-acre island offers a strong mix of water and land activities — the house reef is the headline act, with shore-entry snorkeling that regularly delivers turtles, reef sharks, and eagle rays. The dive centre accesses Raa Atoll's pristine, largely untouched sites. On land, a large infinity pool, fully equipped gym, tennis courts, and weekly themed entertainment nights round out the offering.

House Reef & Underwater

Meedhupparu's house reef is consistently described as one of the best in the Maldives — and it lives up to the reputation. The reef is accessible from shore at multiple points around the island, with the north side near the water villas offering the densest coral growth. Hard coral coverage is excellent and supports a thriving ecosystem: resident hawksbill turtles, blacktip reef sharks, eagle rays, Napoleon wrasse, groupers, nudibranchs, and dense clouds of tropical fish. Raa Atoll's remote location means the reef sees far less traffic than South Malé or Ari Atoll reefs, and the coral health shows it.

Transfer from Malé

Adaaran Select Meedhupparu is in Raa Atoll, 136 km north of Malé — too far for a speedboat, so transfers are by seaplane (45 minutes) or domestic flight plus speedboat. Seaplane is the scenic option and the most popular, but it only operates during daylight hours (6 AM – 5 PM). For late arrivals, the domestic flight to Ifuru Airport followed by a 45-minute speedboat is the alternative. Both options are scenic, but seaplane is the quintessential Maldives arrival.
