The island has the Maldives' largest resident population of green sea turtles, with daily sightings virtually guaranteed — often within metres of the shore. The reef is 20 metres out with shore entry via the jetty, and it's home to 15+ shark species, eagle rays, stingrays, hawksbill turtles, bumphead parrotfish, and napoleon wrasse. Kuredu is in the Lhaviyani Atoll — a scenic 35-minute seaplane ride from Malé. For late arrivals (after ~3:30 PM), a domestic flight to Madivaru Airport plus speedboat transfer is available day and night. Trans Maldivian Airways operates the seaplane service.
