For certified divers who would rather spend the week in the water than in a lobby. Angaga is deliberately plain — one buffet restaurant, two bars, bamboo-furnished bungalows, no private pool anywhere — sitting in the one atoll where whale sharks are resident all year. Its dive centre runs thirty-plus sites and sends experienced divers out without a guide.

Angaga Island vs. Other Resorts
Where this resort sits across the dimensions that matter most when choosing a Maldives property.
Choose Your Villa
Three categories, 94 bungalows, and no pools — Angaga puts its money into the reef rather than the room. The 50 beach bungalows are thatched and detached along the sand; the 44 water bungalows run out over the lagoon on jetties, the 24 Premium ones newer and thirteen square metres larger than the 20 Superior. Every category sleeps up to three.
