Guests can snorkel with reef sharks and turtles off the house reef, dive 30+ sites in the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere, visit the Maldives' only sea turtle rescue centre, plant coral with the resident marine biologist, or escape to a private desert island 15 minutes away.

Family-Friendly Features

Coco Palm sits in the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve with a sheltered lagoon on one side — perfect for young swimmers — and a vibrant house reef on the other for older children ready to snorkel. Children under 6 eat free, and the resort's seagrass beds nurture a resident turtle population that kids can observe on guided walks.

House Reef & Underwater

The reef is recovering well from bleaching with active coral replanting by the resident marine biologist. The east side offers the best snorkeling with a reef drop-off, while the lagoon side's seagrass beds have attracted a growing turtle population. Blacktip reef sharks are abundant under the overwater villas — guests regularly count 20+ from their decks. Dhunikolhu is also a nesting site for endangered green sea turtles.

Transfer from Malé

Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu is in the Baa Atoll — a scenic 30-minute seaplane flight from Malé. Trans Maldivian Airways operates the service with complimentary beverages and Wi-Fi in the seaplane lounge. Seaplanes operate during daylight hours only.
