Coco Palm sits in the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve with a sheltered lagoon on one side — perfect for young swimmers — and a vibrant house reef on the other for older children ready to snorkel. And the resort's seagrass beds nurture a resident turtle population that kids can observe on guided walks.

House Reef & Underwater

The reef is recovering well from bleaching with active coral replanting by the resident marine biologist. The east side offers the best snorkeling with a reef drop-off, while the lagoon side's seagrass beds have attracted a growing turtle population. Blacktip reef sharks are abundant under the overwater villas — guests regularly count 20+ from their decks. Dhunikolhu is also a nesting site for endangered green sea turtles.

Transfer from Malé
