Four Seasons Kuda Huraa

4 Restaurants & 2 Bars

Four restaurants span Indian, Italian, Pan-Asian, and steak-seafood. Baraabaru's overwater Indian is the signature, with live sitar and tabla. Cafe Huraa handles all three meals with themed nights. Two bars round out the offering: a proper poolside lunch venue and the sunset-facing lounge where evenings begin.

Baraabaru

Indian

Signature overwater Indian restaurant with live sitar and tabla musicians. North and South Indian dishes — tandoori, biryani, coastal curries — served above the lagoon. The most atmospheric dining venue on the island.

Your Days on the Island

Surfing is the headline — Tropicsurf operates the Maldives' most celebrated surf programme from Kuda Huraa, with seven named breaks all reachable by speedboat. Beyond waves, a separate URJA spa island, a PADI Five-Star dive centre, the RTC Tennis Academy, and a Junior Marine Savers programme give depth across every guest profile.

Family-Friendly Features

Kuda Huraa works for families at every level. The Kuda Mas kids club (ages 4–12) runs daily with the Junior Marine Savers programme at the Marine Discovery Centre. Family Water Villas have no minimum age restriction. The 25-minute speedboat eliminates seaplane stress, and Tropicsurf offers beginner surf lessons in the calm lagoon for parents and kids alike.

House Reef & Underwater

Kuda Huraa's house reef is honest but unremarkable — a shallow lagoon with shore entry from water villas and the beach. Baby reef sharks, stingrays, and reef fish are reliably present, and the Marine Discovery Centre runs an active coral frame sponsorship programme. The reef is not the reason to choose this resort — surfing is. What compensates is the resort's world-class guided dive excursions across North Malé Atoll's celebrated sites, plus the on-site PADI Five-Star IDC dive centre.

PADI dive center on-site. Night snorkeling available. Marine life observations sourced from dive logs and guest reports.

Transfer from Malé

25 minutes by speedboat from Velana International Airport. Four Seasons representatives meet guests at arrivals and escort them to the boat. Transfers operate 24 hours a day with no daylight restrictions — a significant advantage for late-night arrivals. Approximately USD 308 per person return, subject to 27.6% service charge.

Who This Resort is For

Kuda Huraa occupies a unique position: it is the only Forbes Five-Star resort in the Maldives built around surfing. The Tropicsurf partnership, seven world-class breaks, and the annual Champions Trophy give it a sporting identity no competitor matches. Add a separate spa island, 96 all-pool villas renovated in 2024, and a 25-minute speedboat transfer, and the proposition is clear. The house reef is modest, but that is not why guests come here.
