Your Days on the Island

The Koamas dive team is the resort's engine room — they scout whale sharks by drone before boats leave, and the South Ari Marine Protected Area starts next door. Two infinity pools, a jungle open-air gym, sunrise yoga and Friday beach cinema round out the land side.

Meliá Whale Lagoon is a location play that mostly lands. Bodufinolhu borders the one stretch of the Maldives where whale sharks swim all year, the dive team hunts them with drones, and the everything-in board removes bill anxiety from a trip that's really about the water.
