Choose Your Villa

Seven villa types across five categories — beach, overwater, family and signature. The 2025 renovation added 16 pool villas (the whole Sunset Beach with Pool tier is new) and kept the 30 overwater villas intact on the northern crescent. Entry Beach Villas remain compact at 38 sqm; the 150-sqm Reethi Suite crowns the island.

Minor Hotels reimagined the F&B from scratch during the 2025 refurb — four signature restaurants plus four themed bars spread across the 24-hectare island. Jumla anchors buffet meals, Kaiyo sits overwater for Asian fine dining, and a new Spanish tapas bar brings pinchos culture to the lagoon edge.

Main all-day dining: rotating international buffet with egg station, live cooking, seasonal menus focused on semi-local ingredients. 'Jumla' means 'complete' in Dhivehi — it's the culinary heart of the island and where HB/FB/AI guests take breakfast daily.

Signature beachfront grill where wood-fired flames meet dry-aged steaks and line-caught seafood. 'Alifaan' means 'flame' — an open-air counter under thatched roof, toes in the sand. Steak, reef catch, grilled octopus, and wood-fired sides.

Dining Inclusions

All four plans are offered, but Half Board is the sweet spot — it covers Jumla breakfast and a rotating specialty dinner, leaving budget for Kaiyo or Caravela. Full Board adds Alifaan grill nights. All-Inclusive unlocks Madumaithri and Splash Bar without extras.

All-Inclusive includes a $50 spa voucher and one free group excursion per stay. Rates subject to 10% service + 16% GST (~27.6% total on top).

Your Days on the Island

Fonimagoodhoo's wraparound reef and 15-minute boat ride to Hanifaru Bay sit at the heart of the experience. Add the post-renovation Activity Centre (tennis, pickleball, squash), the two-storey Maxies Family Club, and Ocean Fanatics PADI 5-Star dive centre — this is a surprisingly rich 5-star for its mid-luxury price point.

Family-Friendly Features

The new Maxies Family Club (launched with the 2025 relaunch) is a tech-light two-storey playground for ages 5–12 right next to the Activity Centre's Family Zone. Toddlers get a dedicated pool with water slide. Parents can hit tennis, pickleball or Splash Bar while kids are supervised next door. Children under 12 stay free, babysitting ~$25/hr on request.

House Reef & Underwater

Fonimagoodhoo has one of Baa Atoll's most consistently praised house reefs — a wraparound system with walk-in access on multiple sides, visible coral health despite bleaching cycles, and a famously long species list. Eagle rays, blacktip reef sharks, lemon sharks, barracuda, octopus, turtles and pods of spinner dolphins are all regularly logged. The Ocean Fanatics PADI 5-Star dive centre runs shore dives directly off the reef.

Transfer from Malé

Fonimagoodhoo sits in northeastern Baa Atoll — a 35-minute seaplane from Malé or a 20-min Manta Air flight to Dharavandhoo plus a 15-min speedboat. The domestic route is roughly $200 pp cheaper and runs day or night.

Who This Resort is For

NH Collection Reethi is what happens when Minor Hotels takes a beloved mid-tier resort and rebuilds it as a 5-star without losing the reef. You still get one of Baa Atoll's best house reefs, proximity to Hanifaru Bay manta rays, and a more relaxed vibe than Anantara Kihavah or Soneva — but now with a proper Spanish tapas bar, a rum lounge, and a Family Club designed for 2026. Villa sizes remain compact by 5-star standards; the trade-off is a price point well below neighbouring resorts.
