Play padel before breakfast, hand the kids to the ROBY CLUB, dive Noonu's thilas with the PADI centre, then walk barefoot to the Sundowner Bar on the island's sandy tip before the evening show.
5-Star Resort Flight 35 min + Boat All-Inclusive Family Friendly
For families and sociable couples who want a European club holiday rather than a quiet hideaway. ROBINSON runs Orivaru on one all-inclusive rate, with kids' clubs from age three, a teen programme, padel, group fitness and shows several nights a week. The honest caveat is the reef: the house reef lies about 150 m offshore and the best diving is a boat ride away.

Dining
3 Restaurants & 2 Bars
ROBINSON keeps the line-up simple. The Main Restaurant runs the buffets from breakfast to dinner, with Ayurvedic BalAyur dishes every day and themed nights such as the weekly ROBcarpet gala. Two rooms cost extra and open on selected evenings: the Teppanyaki Restaurant on stilts over the water and a speciality restaurant. The Main Bar is the social hub; the Sundowner Bar sits on the sand at the island's tip.
Main Restaurant
International
The club's buffet restaurant and the heart of the all-inclusive: breakfast, a late riser's breakfast, lunch and dinner, with table wine, beer and soft drinks poured at lunch and dinner. Ayurvedic BalAyur dishes change daily, and a Wine & Dine table with a bottle of wine can be booked for a charge.
SettingBuffet · Indoor & terrace · All meals
Our tipPack one elegant outfit — the club asks guests to dress up for dinner.
Teppanyaki Restaurant
Japanese
A teppanyaki counter raised on stilts above the water, where the chef cooks at the grill in front of you. It opens on selected evenings and carries a charge on top of the all-inclusive, so it is worth reserving early in your stay.
SettingOn stilts over the lagoon · Selected evenings
Our tipAsk for a sunset sitting — the stilts put you right over the lagoon.
Speciality Restaurant
Fine Dining
The club's second à la carte room, open on selected evenings for a charge on top of the all-inclusive. The resort does not publish its menu; private alternatives priced at the resort include the Vinter Pavilion, a five-course beach table with drinks, and a barbecue on your own terrace.
SettingÀ la carte · Selected evenings
Our tipAsk at reception which evenings it opens during your stay.
Main Bar
Bar
The social centre of the club from lunchtime to late, when bar life and dancing take over. Drinks through the day are part of the all-inclusive, apart from selected wines, sparkling wines, spirits and specialities; the evening shows move between venues around the island.
SettingCentral · Day to late · Bar life & dancing
Our tipLook out for the weekly live act — the club books one every week.
Sundowner Bar
Beach Bar
A barefoot bar on the sand at the island's tip, with bean bags facing the water and the club's beach sundowners. It is a daytime and sunset bar rather than a late one, so come here for the last of the light before dinner.
SettingSand floor · Island tip · Sunset spot
Our tipArrive before the sun drops — the bean bags go first.
Meal Plans
Dining Inclusions
One plan, no tiers: every rate is All-inclusive made by ROBINSON. The buffets at the Main Restaurant and drinks at both bars sit inside it. The Teppanyaki and speciality restaurants, selected wines, sparkling wines, spirits and specialities, the minibar and room service are charged on top.
The Teppanyaki and speciality restaurants charge a supplement on every stay. Green tax (USD 12 per person per night, ages 2+) is paid at the resort.

Experiences & Activities
Your Days on the Island
This is a club, and the timetable shows it. The PADI dive centre runs courses up to Rescue and Nitrox and boat trips to Noonu's thilas; watersports from windsurfing to kitesurfing are run by an outside operator on the beach. On land there is a padel court, a gym with Power Plate, group classes, yoga and Pilates, the adults-only WellFit Spa with saunas, and an entertainment programme of three to four shows a week.

Good House Reef
Lux Atolls Reef Score · mid-range for Maldives resorts
ROBINSON places its own house reef about 150 m off Orivaru and rates it well suited to beginners and very suitable for advanced divers, with current and big fish. Divers who have stayed are cooler on it than on the boat sites: one 2024 report on the dive centre calls the hard coral mostly poor but the fish life overwhelming, with sharks, turtles, rays and mantas on dives around the island. Plan on the boat for the best of Noonu.

Getting There
Transfer from Malé
Orivaru is about 200 km north of Malé. The usual route is a 35-minute domestic flight to Maafaru in Noonu, then a 30-minute speedboat to the island; a seaplane flies direct in about 45 minutes for a surcharge. Transfers are grouped around arriving flights, so expect some waiting time — the resort keeps a lounge at Malé airport for it.

Our Take
Who This Resort is For
Reviewed by Tym Lewtak, founder of LuxAtolls·Updated Oct 16, 2026
Robinson Noonu is the Maldives for people who like a club: one all-inclusive rate, a structured programme from kids' clubs to padel and group fitness, and evenings built around shows and parties rather than silence. It suits families and sociable couples best, and its TripAdvisor and Google scores both sit at 4.9. Worth knowing: the reef is a boat-ride story, two restaurants cost extra, and the transfer is a flight plus a boat.
Ideal for
Families with children from three — the ROBY CLUB, R.O.B.Y. and ROBS run hourly programmes six days a week, there are 224 sqm family rooms, and the club won TTM's Best Fun & Friendly Resort in 2024 and 2026.
Active couples and friends — a padel court, a gym with Power Plate, Aqua Fit, HOT IRON, yoga and Pilates on the timetable, plus windsurfing and kitesurfing on the beach.
All-inclusive simplifiers — every rate is All-inclusive made by ROBINSON, buffets and drinks at both bars on one bill, with the two à la carte rooms, premium pours, minibar and room service the main extras.
German-speaking guests — the programme runs in German and English, and ROBINSON's European club rhythm of shows, theme nights and sport is the draw.
Consider elsewhere if
Reef purists — the house reef sits about 150 m off the island and divers report poor hard coral near it; the best sites are boat dives.
Couples after silence — three to four shows a week, beach parties and a weekly gala make this one of the livelier islands in Noonu.
Late arrivals — the flight-and-boat transfer needs you in Malé by 13:30, so many evening landings mean a night near the airport first.

Robinson Noonu — FAQ

Does Robinson Noonu have a good house reef?
It has a house reef about 150 m off the island that ROBINSON rates for beginners and advanced divers, with current and big fish. Divers who have stayed rate the boat sites higher: one 2024 report calls the hard coral mostly poor but the fish life overwhelming, with sharks, turtles, rays and mantas. How do you get to Robinson Noonu from Malé?
Most guests take a 35-minute domestic flight to Maafaru in Noonu, then a 30-minute speedboat to Orivaru — land in Malé by 13:30 for a same-day transfer. A seaplane flies direct in about 45 minutes for a USD 300 per person surcharge each way, landing by 15:00. The flight-and-boat transfer runs about $690 per adult return, and we confirm it with your quote.
