Your Days on the Island

The waterpark is the engine: multiple slides, a kids' splash world, and the lazy river that wraps the waterpark — the Maldives' first — with lifeguards on duty. Best Dives runs the PADI 5-Star base, see-through kayaks and Seabobs cover the lagoon, and the bridge to Centara Grand Lagoon doubles the playground for Atollia guests.

Family-Friendly Features

This is the one you pick because of the kids, not despite them. Days loop the lazy river and slides under lifeguard watch, the Candy Spa paints small faces with edible masks, and teens get e-zones and a games room. Four-bedroom beach houses take the grandparents too — and the whole show runs on Thai patience.

House Reef & Underwater

Be honest about what this is: a purpose-built island in the Kodhipparu lagoon, opened 2024, so the coral is young and the water is the point — calm, shallow and protected, ideal for first-ever snorkels. Guests still find rays and batfish off the overwater villa steps, occasional reef sharks along the edges, and dolphins that cruise past the villas in the morning. For mature reef, the dive team runs cheap, excellent boat trips.

Transfer from Malé

The Atollia sits in the Kodhipparu lagoon on North Malé's western rim, about 30 minutes by speedboat from Velana International. Transfers are mandatory and published — a rarity here: $270 per adult return on the shared boat, half that for children, with taxes already inside.
