Your Days on the Island

A proper Raa Atoll activity set — Euro-Divers PADI 5-star centre, 40+ dive sites within a 25-minute boat ride, and two Raa-specific manta sites (Sola Corner cleaning station, Kottefaru Bodu Thila). Pickleball court added 2026. Note: Hanifaru Bay is the next atoll south (Baa), so manta excursions here are Raa-based, not Hanifaru.

Family-Friendly Features

Dhigali's family pitch is structured but relaxed — PLAY Kids Club runs 9am–6pm, Worldwide Kids-certified and multilingual, with a dedicated kids' pool and an outdoor splash zone. Screen-free by design; days run on pirate adventures, treasure hunts and arts-and-crafts rather than DVDs. Two-bedroom family options span 184 sqm Deluxe Beach Bungalows up to the 400 sqm Dhigali Suite with butler. Kids Menus are at most venues; babysitting is available via the PLAY Crew for ages 2–12.

House Reef & Underwater

Dhigali is surrounded by a genuinely strong Raa Atoll house reef — it starts just 3–4 metres from the beach and drops to 20–25 metres quickly. Snorkellers and divers regularly encounter hawksbill turtles, blacktip reef sharks, eagle rays, Napoleon wrasse, and fusilier schools in shallow water. The southwest reef has small caves with lobsters, baby reef sharks and bannerfish. Seasonal manta rays, nurse sharks, and lemon sharks round out the boat-accessed dive programme.

PADI dive center on-site. Night snorkeling available. Marine life observations sourced from dive logs and guest reports.

Transfer from Malé

45-minute scenic seaplane from Velana for arrivals before 15:00, or a 1hr 10min domestic flight plus speedboat combo for late arrivals. Maximum airport wait is 3 hours, and the resort includes Neeri Lounge access on arrival.

Who This Resort is For

Dhigali is Raa Atoll's most complete all-inclusive — the dining depth is genuinely impressive for a single-resort stay, the Euro-Divers dive programme reaches sites most single-atoll resorts can't, and the PLAY Kids Club is one of the more rigorous family offerings in the north. The 2024 renovation landed well and the NIVA rebrand (Jan 2025) hasn't broken product consistency. For couples with children or divers who want eight venues on one bill, this is the call.
