Your Days on the Island

A tiny island dials down the on-land programming but amplifies the water: the house reef encircles the whole property, so shore-entry snorkelling is possible from three access points. The in-house Euro-Divers operation runs dives across North Ari — Maaya Thila night dives, Fish Head channel dives, and seasonal manta and whale shark trips south into the Ari corridor.

House Reef & Underwater

The house reef encircles the entire island — a rare configuration in the Maldives and one of Kandolhu's defining features. Three designated shore-entry points give direct access to a wall alive with reef sharks, turtles, rays, and dense coral. Because the reef is continuous, every villa is within a minute of coral. TripAdvisor reviews single out the reef repeatedly as 'one of the best we've ever experienced.' The North Ari location also opens up Maaya Thila night dives, Fish Head, and seasonal manta and whale shark excursions.

Transfer from Malé

A 25-minute seaplane flight from Velana plus a 10-minute speedboat lagoon connector — Kandolhu sits 70 km southwest of Malé. Seaplanes operate in daylight only, so late-evening arrivals overnight at Hulhumalé. Transfer is approximately USD 481 per adult round-trip with Trans Maldivian Airways.
