The St. Regis offers Bed & Breakfast, Half Board, and a premium All-Inclusive. Given the calibre of supplement restaurants (Orientale, T-Pan, Cargo, Decanter), Half Board at Alba is the most popular plan — you'll dine at the other venues à la carte anyway. The AI includes house-pour drinks at The Whale Bar; premium labels are extra.

Your Days on the Island

Butler service is the defining amenity — a 24-hour personal butler assigned to every villa, coordinating everything from unpacking to bespoke excursions. The Iridium Spa is an overwater lobster-claw-shaped sanctuary with six treatment rooms and the largest hydromassage pool in the Maldives. The PADI dive centre and SAMPA whale shark excursions round out the water programme.

Family-Friendly Features

Younger kids spend the day at the Children's Club doing art, cooking, and treasure hunts around the island. Teenagers get their own club — The Vommuli Society — where they learn photography, try anti-gravity yoga, and mix mocktails at the Whale Bar. Your personal butler handles all the logistics so parents don't have to. The Two-Bedroom Family Villa has a pool and enough room that everyone gets their own space.

House Reef & Underwater

A good-but-not-exceptional house reef accessed directly off overwater villa ladders and the beach. Reef sharks, eagle rays, and tropical reef fish are regular sightings. Coral is in active regrowth after the 2022 lagoon reef-breaker installation — not as powerhouse as Baa Atoll or North Ari but genuinely good, especially for overwater-villa guests who snorkel with zero commute. SAMPA whale shark and Dhaalu manta excursions are the reliable big-fish plays, not the house reef itself.

Transfer from Malé

Vommuli sits 170 km south of Malé in Dhaalu Atoll. The only transfer is a 45-minute seaplane flight operated by Trans Maldivian Airways — daylight only. Arrival at Velana begins with a butler greet at the dedicated St. Regis lounge before the seaplane transfer. Round-trip cost is approximately $870 per adult and $449 per child (2–12); under 2 free.

The St. Regis Vommuli is the Maldives' clearest expression of the brand's 120-year butler-service signature, wrapped in Jean-Michel Gathy architecture that pulls its own visual weight. The 2022 renovation added T-Pan and expanded the Family Villa pool. What you pay for is the butler, the architecture, and the overwater Iridium Spa — the house reef is fine, not a headline. For Baa Atoll reef or Soneva eco-luxury, look elsewhere. For polished luxury with anticipatory service, this is one of the Maldives' strongest plays.
