Dining Inclusions

Vakkaru offers BB, HB, and FB — but no standard all-inclusive. Half Board covers Amaany, Onu, and Isoletta for breakfast and dinner. Full Board adds lunch. Vakku, Anguru Teppanyaki, and Vakkaru Reserve carry a supplement on all plans.

Your Days on the Island

The Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve is the headline — Hanifaru Bay's manta aggregation is thirty minutes by boat. On the island, three blue holes punctuate one of the strongest house reefs in the atolls, a 12-room overwater Ayurveda spa offers resident-doctor programmes, and a Parrotfish Club keeps children busy while parents explore.

Family-Friendly Features

Parrotfish Club runs daily for ages 3–12, free of charge, with standout activities including pirate cruise adventures, Junior Master Chef competitions, and guided blue-hole snorkeling. The Coconut Club extends the programme to teenagers with water sports and island exploration. Two children under 12 stay and dine free. Beach and overwater family pool villas provide dedicated family accommodation up to 250 sqm.

House Reef & Underwater

Three blue holes — vertical shafts in the coral where pelagic species gather — make Vakkaru's house reef genuinely distinctive. Resident hawksbill turtles, blacktip reef sharks, and strong coral coverage around the island. The Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere location adds Hanifaru Bay, the world's largest manta ray aggregation site, just thirty minutes by boat.

Transfer from Malé

Vakkaru is a 30-minute seaplane from Velana International Airport into the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Guests use a VIP seaplane lounge with refreshments before departure. Domestic flight plus speedboat is available for late arrivals.
