A small, couples-scaled line-up. Ylang-Ylang handles every meal with live stations at breakfast and a rotating à la carte menu at night, and West Beach Bar is the island's one bar, built around an infinity pool. The two specialty rooms are the draw: Only BLU, a horseshoe dining room 6.8 metres under the lagoon, and Gaadiya 17, a copper food truck grilling surf-and-turf on the northern beach.

Mornings run on live stations — waffles, pastries, juices — and lunch adds pizzas, tandoor and salads; at night it switches to a rotating à la carte menu of global, Italian and Maldivian dishes, served in couples' dining pods, on the sand or by the library shelves.

The resort's signature: by its own account the largest under-ocean restaurant in the Maldives, a horseshoe-shaped room 6.8 metres down where every table faces the reef glass. Prix-fixe meat, seafood or vegetarian menus open with sparkling wine and a three-tier appetiser platter. It won Editor's Choice for Best Restaurant at the 2024 TTM Awards.

A copper food truck parked under the palms at the northern tip of the island, serving a three-course grill dinner at tables on the sand: chef's starters, then fish, octopus, Angus striploin, Indonesian chicken or tiger prawns, and a coconut dessert, with paired wines. Pool Bar

The island's only bar, also called The Swing Bar: an infinity pool with a sunken swim-up counter, overwater hammocks, swings and cabanas. Ten signature cocktails and ten mocktails sit on the Lobi Plan list alongside premium spirits and wines, Maldivian short-eats come out in the afternoon, and live music or a DJ takes over after dark.

Dining Inclusions

One plan, no tiers: the Lobi Plan™ is the only way Lobigili sells. It is an all-inclusive built around Ylang-Ylang and West Beach Bar, with Only BLU and Gaadiya 17 released by length of stay rather than nightly. Diving, motorised watersports, the Lobster Night and sheesha sit outside it.

Only BLU and Gaadiya 17 come one meal per guest for every four nights, pre-booked and subject to availability, so stays under four nights include neither.

Your Days on the Island

The pace is set for two. The watersports hut on the island runs everything from Seabob to parasailing, with a PADI dive school shared with sister resort Ailafushi for courses and boat dives. ELE|NA Ayur is a couples-first spa with steam room and sauna, the gym hangs over the water, and evenings move between the Swing Bar's live sets, private beach cinema and the Gatsby-themed festive gala.

House Reef & Underwater

The resort describes a rich house reef a short swim off the eastern shore, and that is where the snorkelling is — not around the whole island. Guests regularly report blacktip reef sharks, turtles and rays from the water-villa decks, but also bleached coral close to shore and red-flag days that close the reef in rough weather. The better sites are a short boat ride out, and the guided snorkelling trip on the Lobi Plan is the way to reach them.

Transfer from Malé

Lobigili is one of the closest resorts to Velana International Airport — about 13 km north across North Malé Atoll, fifteen minutes by speedboat. The airport team meets you in arrivals and walks you to the jetty, and with no seaplane leg a late landing still reaches the island the same night.

OBLU SELECT Lobigili is the adults-only Maldives with the logistics taken out: a fifteen-minute boat, sixty-eight villas for two, one Lobi Plan rate, and a genuinely special dining room under the lagoon. Its TripAdvisor record, No. 1 luxury hotel in the world in 2024, rests on service and food. Worth knowing: the specialty dinners are rationed by stay length, there is only one bar, and the reef is a casual snorkel, so the wild Maldives is a boat ride away.
