Dining Inclusions

JOALI Being is not a conventional all-inclusive — it runs on bed-and-breakfast with anti-inflammatory, Earth-to-Table 'well-living' cuisine, and optional Wellbeing Programmes layered on top. Half- and full-board dine-around upgrades are available, and menus are designed around the Four Pillars rather than a buffet-and-tap-everything model.

Wellbeing Programmes (Gut Reset, De-stress, Tranquil Sleep and more) are optional immersions layered on top of the board basis — JOALI Being is flexible, not a forced retreat.

Your Days on the Island

The wellbeing core is the headline: AREKA for diagnostics and healing, KAASHI's hydrotherapy hall, the LOTUS yoga pyramid, CORE fitness, SEDA's sound-healing instruments and AKTAR herbology, plus 37 treatment rooms and 13 structured programmes. Beyond it, a marine centre, mantas almost year-round in Raa, an Olive Ridley turtle rehab centre, padel and tennis round out the days.

Family-Friendly Features

B'Kidult is a multigenerational playground welcoming children of all ages — sensory play areas, mud kitchens and a professional kitchen for little chefs, plus visits to the on-island Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Centre. The nuance to know: the deeper wellbeing spaces are age-gated for calm — AREKA is 12-plus, and the KAASHI hydrotherapy hall, CORE and Quiet Zones are reserved for 16-plus — so adults still get their reset while kids have their own world.

House Reef & Underwater

JOALI Being's house reef is snorkellable straight from shore, with guided House Reef Snorkelling, Turtle Quest and Snorkelling Extravaganza outings turning up hawksbill turtles, rays and reef fish. Raa Atoll's real draw is its reef mantas, present at cleaning stations almost year-round, with the UNESCO-listed Hanifaru Bay reachable by private charter in season. The island also runs a Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Centre with the Olive Ridley Project — one of only a handful of turtle sanctuaries in the Maldives — where guests can visit, learn and symbolically adopt a patient.

JOALI Being sits on Bodufushi in Raa Atoll, reached by a scenic 40-minute seaplane from Velana International Airport. The flight itself is part of the arrival — a low pass over the atolls — and the wellbeing journey can begin the moment you land.

Who This Resort is For

JOALI Being is the most fully realised wellness resort in the Maldives — the Areka complex, sound-healing halls, herbology centre and 37 treatment rooms are a genuine destination spa, with Earth-to-Table cuisine built around it. Crucially it is multigenerational rather than a clinic: B'Kidult welcomes children while the deeper wellbeing zones stay calm and adults-only. The honest caveats are price and that all-inclusive eaters and party seekers should look elsewhere. For a reset that still feels like a luxury holiday, nothing matches it.
