Your Days on the Island

Naladhu's twenty-house scale means no organised entertainment programme — the emphasis is on private experiences arranged through your butler. Water sports, diving, and spa treatments are on-island; excursions and kids' facilities are accessible at sister resorts.

House Reef & Underwater

Naladhu does not have a usable house reef — the island sits in a wide, shallow lagoon with a sandy bottom. Snorkeling requires boat excursions to nearby reef sites in the South Male Atoll, which are easily arranged through your butler. The lagoon itself is excellent for swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding, but reef seekers should book excursions or visit sister resort Anantara Dhigu for shore snorkeling.

Transfer from Malé

Thirty minutes by speedboat from Velana International Airport — a straightforward transfer with no seaplane required. The boat ride passes through the South Male Atoll channel with views of several resort islands. Return transfer is approximately USD 320 per person.

Who This Resort is For

Naladhu occupies a rare position: ultra-luxury seclusion within easy reach of the airport. The personal-chef model, Yamazaki-designed houses, and cross-resort dining access to Anantara Dhigu and Veli give it more flexibility than most boutique properties. The absence of a house reef is the main trade-off, but for guests who prioritise privacy, design, and bespoke service over marine life at the doorstep, Naladhu is difficult to match.
